Volodymyr Ventures Off War For Vogue

Volodymyr Zelenskyy is the president of Ukraine. Recently him and his wife Olena Zelenska were but in a vogue magazine. Throughout the magazine we see Olena pose in photos and in the background are soldiers and rubble from the war. This isn’t Vogue’s first time using political figures to advertise their magazine. People have expressed their opinions including statements saying that they believe that this is completely inappropriate considering how Volodymyr’s country is being attacked by Russia. One reporter said “I respected Zelensky at the beginning of the war when we were flooded with photos of the Ukrainian President on the frontline in tactical gear. Turned out the photos were faked. An act like the man himself. Now posing for Vogue. All to grift billions from western taxpayers.” And another politic asked why he sent $54 billion over to a country in need when their president is taking photos in war time. He has received large amounts of backlash when trying to making something impactful. In the end we can’t control how he runs his own country and if he wants to take photos during a crisis he can. But it’s hard to not get backlash as a president and especially when your country needs you desperately.
